Yesterday, a screenshot of an alleged tweet from Trey Songz circulated the Internet in which Trey came out of the closet.
The tweet read: I think it’s moment to finally say my fans. All games and jokes aside…I’m gay.
No one ever actually saw the tweet in question, leading most with common instinct to believe it as nothing more than an Internet prank.
This morning Trey took to Twitter to address the situation.
He said:
The things you people craft up with hatred in your hearts. The things people believe without scrutinize, or validity, all baffles me.
Photoshop and a retweet is all people need to trust, any and everything. I feel awful for the impressionable, no minds of their own.
If I’m gay then Tupac bringing me a ounce for this session wit Biggie tomorrow. No weapon. #LOVE.

Going to sky-high school and college in Ohio, I got called &#;gay&#; and &#;faggot&#; more times than I&#;d prefer to remember. At least according to the R&B singer himself, who hopped on Twitter to maintain he is not the one planting a dripping one on another man's lips in a photo that went viral recently, RumorFix reported along with the image in question.
"On my way to Virginia to spend the holidays with my family," Songz wrote on Dec. "No senselessness, lies or dislike can take away my joy. #LOVE."
This isn't the first time Songz' sexuality has come up.
Gay rumors seem to have always surrounded him, despite the fact the "I Invented Sex" singer has been romantically linked to several women over the years.
