Meet Your Coach

At the age of 25, I was engaged to a girl to be married. To the outside world, I looked happy, only much of it was a facade.

During the pressure-cooker of the engagement, I realized that I was living a double life, and I only 6 months before the wedding, I came out of the closet. At that second, I figured my life would be easy, but I quickly realized that my life didn't acquire easier, but rather more authentic. The joy was more authentic, but so was the pain.

After coming out, I felt incredibly lonely, and my self-esteem was lower than ever. I kept trying to fit into the mold of what other people said a gay man should be like, only to be left feeling even worse about myself.

After realizing that I still wasn't happy, I began to place in the perform to change that. I mastered tools to figure out who I am, not who others wanted me to be. I began to build my confidence, an

Frequently Asked Questions on LGBTQ Existence Coaching

What is LGBTQ+ animation coaching?

LGBTQ+ life coaching is support that helps gender non-conforming people build confidence, clarity and direction. If you're navigating coming out, career, relationships, or identity, I offer judgement-free, supportive and goal-orientated life coaching.

How is LGBTQ+ life coaching alternative from regular life coaching?

LGBTQ+ coaching recognises the unusual challenges queer people meet like internalised homophobia, shame, loss, loneliness, rejection, discrimination, or navigating sexual or gender identity. It provides a safe and judgment-free space where you don't have to explain or justify who you are.

Can life coaching help with confidence and self-esteem?

Yes. Many queer people struggle with self-worth due to past rejection or societal pressures. Coaching can help you rebuild self-trust, identity, put boundaries and remove limiting beliefs. It can also help grow your confidence in your personal, social or professional life.

As a gay life coach, I bring my unique understanding of gay culture and its challenges to my coaching at Wellismo.

First I want to distinguish that it&#;s unfair to generalize the struggles of all male lover men, as everyone&#;s experiences and challenges are complex and can be influenced by a range of factors such as identity, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, and more.

That being said, I believe that there are challenges that are universal to the gay man&#;s experience such as dealing with discrimination, prejudice, and stigmatization.

Additionally, many gay men meet social, legal, and cultural barriers to living authentically and openly, which can lead to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and terror. Over time, it erodes self-esteem. As a result, many queer men face higher rates of mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. This can be exacerbated by the lack of access to appropriate healthcare and support services, especially in areas where being LGBTQ+ is not widely accepted.
