Screen legend Robert Redford is making distinct that he supports gay marriage and wants it to develop legal in Utah where he holds his annual Sundance Production Festival.

I saw this movie but don't keep in mind why it was a risk for Redford. Can you expand on that risk? I wish Redford had played Guy in "Rosemary's Baby". The shock of a husband turning on his wife for the sake of his career would have had so much more of an impact if the husband was the sky haired, blonde eyed all American boy next door with great teeth.

It didn't hurt him at all. It doesn't feel to hurt certain actors. No one batted an eye when Tom Hanks did. Or Matt Damon.
They are really good actors. The tv actors panic that they will earn type cast because they are meh actors and work is limited. He can play gay procure him. Not much else comes their way.

Robert Redford endorses queer marriage at Utah event
Salt Lake Municipality, UT - Actor-filmmaker Robert Redford on Monday offered support for Utah's LGBT community at an event for Equality Utah, the state's largest LGBT rights advocate.
The group is currently lobbying for passage of a statewide bill which would outlaw discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender culture in the areas of employment and housing.
"I'm here for the same reason you are – same rights for all," Redford told the more than 2, people who attended the group's annual Allies Dinner in Salt Lake City. "Like you, I believe there's no place in our world for discrimination. None. I consider it is un-American."
