Technology reporter
Gay dating app Jack'd will pay $, (£,) after revealing members' private intimate photos publicly on the internet.
Anyone with a web browser who knew where to look could access millions of private photos, even if they did not have a Jack'd account.
New York Attorney General Letitia James said the app invaded users' privacy.
Online Buddies, which owns the app, failed to restore the problem for a year after being warned by a researcher.

For ancient Greek men taking part in athletics, nudity was their spandex.
For over a thousand years of Greek antiquity (ca. BCE– CE), athletes skilled in running, long jump, discus, javelin and other events trained and competed in the buff. They represented the ideal male body type and were regarded as citizens of a high socioeconomic status.
But why? What was so significant about nudity that turned it into the valued standard for athletic endeavours?
Sarah Murray, an assistant professor with the Faculty of Arts & Science’s Department of Classics, seeks to uncover this mystery in her new book, Male Nudity in the Greek Iron Age.
“One of the things I love about the ancient Greeks is that a lot of the things they undertake are really weird,” she says.
“How did it approach about that the Greeks uniquely amongst ancient Mediterranean societies, developed both an aesthetic ideal of the nude male as successfully as a unique establish of social practices that involved regular nude widespread exercise?” asks Murray.
“This doubt always struck me as really interesting, because we have so much in common w
Nude calendar to raise money for queer men in Chechnya
A modern calendar featuring hot naked men is raising money for persecuted gay and bisexual men in Chechnya.
The calendar, by photographer Balthier Corfi and stylist Todd Hanshaw, is titled BUTT , Gay Times has reported.
Each page features male models, and sales are going to Canadian charity Rainbow Road, which was formed to help queer people escape persecution in Chechnya.
“The experience has been very emotional,” said Hanshaw.
“We serve in the fashion world and it took us a while to figure out what to do, but we knew we had to do something!
“We construct beauty—and in the face of this ugly moment in history, some beauty and light is needed.”
The gay persecution crisis came to light earlier this year, with reports that dozens of men have been executed in concentration camps.
Chechen authorities have continued to deny the allegation even as reports of gay concentration camps have been confirmed and charges of genocide have been made.
The calendar can be bought online.

The promo materials for Josh Sharp’s solo show “ta-da!,” a twisted, spicy comic romp now playing at the Greenwich House Theater, tout his “Herculean feat” memorizing 2, PowerPoint slides. Indeed, Sharp himself playfully harps on this achievement, as the slides are projected in rapid succession onto the stage backdrop. “I’ve had to memorize that shit. The script is pages long for an minute show,” he crows, displaying the closing page from the Google Docs script as proof. “I’ve got to execute a slide every seconds.” Impressive as this stunt is, the real triumph is his knack for storytelling, which tugs on the heartstrings as it tickles the funny bone. The thirtysomething, self-described “gay comedian” recounts getting heckled while performing magic tricks at other kids’ birthday parties, punctuated with “ta-da!” “Pubescent life is a wakin
