The magenta pink guard petals hug a thick cluster of soft pink to cream staminoids (inner petals). As the anemone shaped blooms mature, the softer pink becomes more dominant. The flowers have a lovely, sweet fragrance.
Mid to late season flowers on robust stems that are great for picking. This all time favourite was bred by Auten in In it took out the Gold for the American Peony Society. In it claimed gold for the Awarded of Landscape Merit.

Description
Paeonia lactiflora 'Gay Paree'. Cheerful in appearance and simple to grow. Bright pink guard petals surround a striking centre of cream and pink petals. In time the centre whitens and the secondary buds reiterate the show. The fragrant, medium sized flowers are long durable and do not require support.
