The year-old singer is returning to her role of Cupid on BBC Three dating website show I Kissed A Girl.
The programme follows the success of I Kissed A Boy last year, and will see 10 women try to locate love, starting with a kiss.
At the launch of the programme on Thursday, it was claimed Dannii was emotional and reportedly said: ‘I identify as queer in a weird way.’
Talking about the programme, she went on: ‘This is so important. There hasn’t been a exhibit for the girls in the reality gay digital dating world.
‘It’s like we necessitate this to happen. I’m hoping that there are parties up and down the country.’

The All I Wanna Do singer, 52, said just before the launch of her lesbian dating show I Kissed A Girl on BBC Three that she 'identified as queer' but has now insisted that she is 'straight' and in a long-term relationship.
She said: 'To clarify, there was no breakdown and I was not making an announcement that I’m a lesbian or queer.'
Insisting her quote was 'taken out of context', she added: 'I’m straight and in a long-term hetero relationship!'
